Readjust The Earbuds In The Charging Case

The most common reasons for charging problems with Powerbeats Pro is the improper placement of the earbuds in the Powerbeats Pro charging case.

You should securely place them in the case by ensuring the connectors are in contact and that the ear hooks are not interfering with one another. If everything seems fine, close the lid and open it again to see if it is charging.

You can also plug in your charger to the charging case and press down hard on your earbuds until you hear a clicking sound. Then you can close the Powerbeats Pro case, open your phone and check the battery status on your device.

Another disgusting but sometimes effective method people use is to lick the earbuds for secure placement in the case’s magnetic charging pins.

Obviously don’t overdo it, and don’t blame us if you get sick either.

Wondering how to pair you Beats to your iPhone, PC or Android phone? Here’s how to do it!

Forget And Pair Powerbeats Pro With Your Device Again

If either earbuds aren’t charging, you can make your device forget the earbuds then pair them again to try to fix the issue. Navigate to the Bluetooth section from the settings menu to start the process.

Before pairing them again, restarting your device (e.g. phone) is also a good idea. After the pairing, you can check if the Powerbeats not charging issue is fixed.

Clean The Powerbeats Pro Case And The Earbuds

The answer to your problem might be as simple as “it is dirty”.

Earwax or any contact with a liquid substance can cause many problems, including charging issues.

To clean earwax, you can use a tiny pin or needle. You should get the earwax out from the holes with gentle movements. Be very careful here!

If the earbuds get wet, you should put them inside a cup of dry rice and wait at least 48 hours to dry before trying to charge again.

If they fall into the sea or if they get into contact with anything other than water, you should first rinse the earbuds with clean water before letting them dry out.

You can also clean the Powerbeats Pro case with a microfiber cloth, gently rubbing the charging pins and all of the case. This may fix the Powerbeats not charging problem.

Turn Off The Ear Detection Feature

Sometimes the ear detection features of the Powerbeats Pro start malfunctioning, so turning this function off may help here. Hopefully, this is something you can live without!

Restart The Earbuds

Well, the old-school way of restarting devices to fix issues is also applicable here.

You can force your Powerbeats Pro to restart by placing the earbuds in the case before pressing and holding down the system button.

When you see the flashing red and white LED lights, you can release the button and let the device restart itself.

Update The Firmware

Just like any other electronic device, Powerbeats Pro needs to be updated occasionally. The charging problem may be firmware-related, which can be overcome with an update.

If you’ve paired your Powerbeats Pro earbuds to your iPhone or iPad they will stay up to date automatically.

If you’re on Android, you can download the Beats app to update manually.

After installation, connect the earbuds to the device by plugging in the Powerbeats Pro case. Click the Update button on the app to start the update.

Check The Power Source

Sometimes the problem is with the power source instead of the Powerbeats Pro. So, you should try charging another device with the same electrical outlet to see if the problem is with the earbuds or the outlet.

Also, the problem could be with the charger of Powerbeats Pro. To diagnose the issue, you can try to charge them with another Powerbeats-specific charger.

Get Help

If the problem persists after trying these methods, unfortunately, the issue may be hardware or electronics related. That means it is time to get your earbuds to a doctor; the local Apple store, or any Apple technician nearby.

While it is better to get them fixed in an official Apple store because of the warranty procedures, if the warranty is expired and there are no Apple stores nearby, you can take them to any technician experienced with Apple or Beats devices.
